Rubicon Law has acted as deal counsel to Clay Capital, the lead investor in the US$6.2 million Series A funding round for Era Agro Technology Pte. Ltd. (“Eratani”), an Indonesia-based agri-tech startup dedicated to transforming the country's rice farming sector.

The Series A round also saw participation from TNB Aura, SBI Ven Capital, AgFunder, Genting Ventures, and Impact Investment Exchange and will enable Eratani to accelerate the adoption of precision agriculture tools, on-farm mechanization, and sustainable cultivation practices. These innovations are set to improve yields, increase farmer incomes, and support Indonesia’s national food security and climate goals.

Founded in 2021, Eratani offers end-to-end farm management solutions, integrating access to financial services, agricultural education, and market linkages. The platform aims to boost productivity and promote sustainable farming practices across Indonesia, and has to date attracted more than 34,000 farmers.
